September 15    Two String Trios of young musicians from King Edward’s School directed by Lucy Akehurst to include music by Corelli and Leopold Mozart.

October 20  Keith Hearnshaw (organ)

Music by Bach prelude and fugue in A minor BWV543, Dvorak largo from New World symphony,  Vierne berceuse;  final from Symphony no. 1,  Guilmant grand choeur alla Handel and Handel occasional overture.

November 3  Ksynia Loeffler (mezzo-soprano)  Jan Loeffler (piano)

Songs by Howells King David  Barber a nun takes the veil; secrets of the old;  sure on this shining night; nocturne  Jonathan Dove  all you who sleep tonight (cycle of thirteen short songs);

November 17    A VERY SPECIAL ORGAN RECITAL  Given by JOHN JENKIN, assistant organist of St. Alban’s Highgate. Birmingham, and an EXTREMELY TALENTED EXPONENT  of the art of ORGAN IMPROVISATION which he will explain and demonstrate during the recital. Some of his improvisations will be based on the clock chimes of our very own Bournville carillon. There might also be time for extemporisation on a few well-known hymn-tunes suggested by members of the audience.
