Friday 20 September

Andrew Fletcher, organ.

Andrew Fletcher was educated in Birmingham and at Keble College, Oxford, where he was Organ Scholar. He is an FRCO prize-winner and holds the College’s choir-training diploma. He is a regular recitalist here and in the USA, and is in frequent demand as a service accompanist. He has been involved in church music since the age of seven and has held posts in Warwick, Swindon, Birmingham, and Stourbridge. He directs the Solihull Choral Society, teaches piano, organ and theory, presents lectures, master-classes and choral workshops, and composes church and organ music, much of which is published by Peters Edition and Kevin Mayhew. He is also Organist to the University of Birmingham and Organ Adviser to the Diocese of Worcester.

Friday 15 November

Laura Feeney, viola.

Laura Feeney is a talented young viola player who is completing her post-graduate studies at Birmingham Conservatoire. She is the founder of Prism Strings. Her programme for us will include Hindemith Sonata Op 11, No 4 for viola and piano, and a transcription for viola of J S Bach, Cello Suite No 1 in G (BWV 1007).

Keith Hearnshaw, organ.

Keith Hearnshaw is a well-known concert organist. He has performed widely in this country and in Europe, including playing duets with the great American virtuoso Carlo Curley. His concert programmes are wide and varied, and are presented musically and verbally in a style that makes the organ very accessible.
